Just imagine how vampires look alike in J.K.Rowling’s universe. Would it be creepy with fangs or charming like The Cullens?
Boleh lah kita mundur ke beberapa tahun lalu ke masa-masa The Lord of The Ring dan Harry Potter. Bicara sedikit tentang elf, mengingat dan mengimajinasikan betapa jauhnya perbedaan elf di dunianya J.K.Rowling versus elf di dunianya J.R.R. Tolkien seperti di The Lord of The Ring dan The Hobbit. Bedanya jauh sekali. Seperti membayangkan Dobby dan Kreacher versus Legolas dan Galadriel. Padahal mereka sama-sama diambil dari mitologi kuno yang sama, elf. Tapi aku suka Dobby. Dia sangat baik!
Balik lagi. Vampire in J.K.Rowling’s universe? Memangnya ada? Ada! But, I have no idea about the physical appearance, pale white with fangs and pointed nose or what. It’s true that she wanted a vampire teacher in Hogwarts.
As she said on https://pottermore.com, “I found that on my very earliest list of staff, there was a subjectless vampire teacher I had forgotten, called ‘Trocar’. A Trocar is sharply pointed shaft inserted into arteries or cavities to extract bodily fluids, so I think it a rather good name for a vampire. Evidently I did not think much of him as a character, though, because he disappears fairly early on in my notes.”
